At Speak Life we resource the church to reach the world. As part of this mission we long to inspire and equip another generation of creative evangelists. For years we have invited people to our Eastbourne headquarters, more recently for a 10-month internship called The Foundry. At The Foundry we seek to forge evangelists and evangelistic resources in a residential setting. Now we want to open up our training to a wider audience.
The Foundry Unlocked is a new way for people to access our teaching, training and media practicals from across the country and around the world.
The Foundry Unlocked brings together bible, theology, creativity and media production all for the sake of Christ and his mission. It consists of three elements: The Intensives; Friday Morning Teaching and Friday Afternoon Teaching.
Our four intensive weeks focus particularly on filmmaking practicals while our weekly teaching explores the intersection of Christ and creativity.
If you are 16+ and interested in the intersection of theology, mission and creativity, The Foundry Unlocked is for you. Please let us know which church you’re a part of and what you hope to gain from the course and we’ll be in touch ASAP.
We offer a 10 month internship programme, (Sept-June). We are seeking mission-minded Christians, 18-25+, who want to grow and use their gifts for evangelism online and face to face. Participants have three options:
Foundry Intensive: Based in Eastbourne, we meet for a week at a time (Mon-Fri) in September, December, March and May. It's a chance to meet the team, catch the Speak Life vision and learn the craft of filmmaking with hands-on practicals.
Friday Mornings: Over 24 weeks, either in person in Eastbourne or online on Zoom, we will explore together a theology for life and mission.
Friday Afternoons: During the same 24 weeks as above we will learn together how to tell stories to win the world. We focus on evangelism training, a theology of persuasion, of film and story-telling and of creative mission.
When signing up for Friday mornings or afternoons, there is an option to sign up to the whole day of teaching.
