10 month residential training programme
24 Friday mornings (online or in person) exploring Theology for Life and Mission and Stories to Win the World
Learn the craft of filmmaking across 4 weeks (September, December, March and May)
A 10 month residential training programme (from September to July) that provides students with a unique opportunity to come alongside the team at Speak Life’s Eastbourne studio. For three days each week students learn from the team and support the work of Speak Life. Students will assist with the Speakeasy (a weekly live show), go on mission, write articles for the Speak Life Daily and help to produce and edit Speak Life’s seasonal videos. Students also contribute to the Unlocked sessions and the Intensives, with a community of creative Christians around the UK and the world.
Students also develop their own creative projects and build a portfolio of creative work, with the support and advice of the senior creative and technical members of the Speak Life team.
Cost: £3000 (bursaries may be available)
Students will need to arrange their own accommodation and fund all living expenses.
Application deadline: 1st June 2022
We have opened the doors of the studio for 24 Friday mornings (9.30am-1.30pm) through the year for training in Theology for Life and Mission and Stories to Win the World.
Attendees can join the training online or in person at the Speak Life studio in Eastbourne.
The Intensives take place at the Speak Life studio in Eastbourne over four weeks a year: in September, December, March and May. They are a chance to meet the team, catch the Speak Life vision and learn the craft of filmmaking with tutorials and hands on practicals.
In September students will have the chance to get to grips to the basics of filmmaking. These skills will be built and expanded on in the subsequent three intensives. Therefore we recommend that students attend all four weeks if possible.
Cost: £125 per week. Students will need to arrange their own accommodation.
